Our December Christmas Party/ Social at the BettPlex Wednesday the 19th rocked the roof. Jason Carl’s diverse set provided dance tunes, classics by Simon and Garfunkel, Beatles, and an interpretation of Sitting on the Dock of the Bay that was a crowd pleaser.
Lots of room for dancing or moving around to wander and chat at this venue. The huge piles of sand made us feel at home. It is a Sport Complex. The sand may be for volleyball, but it’s a beach to us.
The 16 who decided to join in the gift exchange were so polite. Only one unnamed member stole Dave Hamburg’s bottle of rum rather than an unopened gift. All part of the fun.
The 50/50 winner, Karin Hamburg, elected to give the $150.00 to the Animal Aid Rescue in Moline. We love our fur-friends and approve that donation.
