Jan Haugen is able to get a Marco Island Rental to auction off at HDD, club will need to pay the person with the timeshare $880 per timeshare auctioned and we will keep any proceeds for the HDD charity. We pay this amount after the event to make sure it is auctioned for at least $880.  Visit vacationmarcoisland.com, tiger tale court to view the property.  Jennie motioned to approve this arrangement with second by Jerry Brown.

Willy has found a new clubhouse with Mark Zimmerman, building that is behind Honda Zimmerman.  It is a very large out building that we will have access to 3 offices and larger storage area for set props.  There is no heat or overhead lighting, we can use outlets to plug in heater or lights when needed.  No charge for this rental opportunity, Mark is glad to help out our organization knowing what we do for the community.  We are paid thru the end of January with current clubhouse location thru Discount Furniture so we will save the club $400 a month as soon as we make arrangements to move, shooting for January 28th.  It was recommended to give Zimmerman’s a free table at HDD for all the money they will be saving our club.  Motioned by Marilyn Pulford to approve and seconded by Marc Nesseler.

32 people have signed up for Escape to Margaretville play at Oriental Theatre in Chicago November 18, 2017.  Group tickets will be $57.50 per person, we need payment prior to ordering tickets and there is NO REFUNDS if someone cannot attend.  28 of those people need transportation which will then be split between the riders at an additional cost. Willy got a price of $1330 from Johana’s but Marc will work with someone he knows over there to get that dropped down some.  The buss will take us up there and we will eat someplace before the show which is at 2:00 pm, then ride back to the Quad Cities.

The Parrot head of the year will be announced at the January Social and receive a free membership thru March 2018.

Thank You letters from Christian Care, Ricks House of Hope and Big Brothers Big Sisters shared.  Jimmy and the Parrots send a Christmas card.

No charity for January social, club is requesting items for HDD auctions such as booze, gift cards, lottery tickets or anything that can be used for auction baskets.

HDD – t-shirts will be sold at the socials and the pub crawl will be announced.  HDD is committee working on staying in a budget for the costs.  Willy has requested Hy-Vee sell our tickets and has submitted a letter, just waiting on their approval.  Suggested they tickets stop selling April 1 at 4pm.  Chris Ivey and TJ Griffiths offered to deliver tickets to the Quad City Hy-Vee locations when that time comes.  Mediacom has stopped all ‘in kind’ advertising, what about radio channels?  Willy is keeping a binder with HDD contract, quotes and other information that would be helpful to the next HDD chair person.

Todd Haugen motioned to adjourn meeting at 7:39 pm, seconded by TJ Griffiths.

Respectfully submitted by

Jennie Fink
