Business Meeting Minutes
April 19, 2017

Called to order by Jennie Fink at 6:30 pm

Motion to accept last month’s minutes by Marilyn Pulford; seconded by Tara Boling.

All accounts and payments approved motion by T.J. Griffith; seconded by Dave Johnson.

Golf Outing:

  • Charity is the Center Street Team Homeless Outreach in Davenport. Motion to accept by Brian Wilson; seconded by Marilyn Pulford.
  • The outing will be June 24th at Sunrise Golf Course. Jennie will work with Justin Forgie to get registration set up on-line.
  • Cost: $70 pp for golf, meal and entertainment; $15 pp for meal and entertainment only.
  • Maximum of 18 foursomes.
  • Fry Daddies will be the entertainment at a cost of $500 to the club.
  • Hole sponsors — looking for 18 at $50 each (will accept more)
  • Signs for hole sponsors by Robert Gunter donation (Mike Koester will work with him).
  • Awards for betting hole, closest to pin, long drive (men, women, seniors). Will award gift cards ($50, $25, $20) instead of cash to save money.
  • 10-12 volunteers needed.
  • Will not need a license for the 50-50.
  • Tee-off at 11:00 am. Cart decoration starts at 10:00am
  • Beer cart on course.
  • Dinner 5pm; music 6-9pm.
  • Considering selling mulligans and strings. TBD.

HDD:

  • River Center cost = $3780.50
  • Motion to send $200 to St. Ambrose students who worked coat check by T.J.Griffith; seconded by Craig Pulford.

Membership: 189 active members; 128 still owe dues

Other:

  • Mike Koester suggested a possible tailgate at the River Bandits game this summer
  • Christine Martinez asked about Beer Pouring at the summer street fests.
  • Robin and Dave Johnson will host a golf committee at their home Friday, April 28 at 6:30 pm.
  • Jan Haugen will set up HDD decompression session and volunteer appreciation party as soon as she can.
